Shlomie’s Club

Boys Will Be Boys.

Yes. Even after loss.

By joining Shlomie’s Club, our boys join a family. Shlomie’s Club offers support to boys who have lost a parent through a wide range of programs.

For boys in the age of 6-17 years, Shlomie's Club provides:

Shlomie’s Club Gazette

A monthly newsletter designed for elementary school-aged boys, the Gazette reminds its readers that they are not alone by answering their questions, addressing their fears and exposing them to the stories of boys like them. The Gazette is read by hundreds of boys across the United States, Canada and England.

Shlomie’s Club Hotline

With new content every other week, this hotline has something for everyone: stories for boys of all ages, guest speakers, Q&A with Rabbi Yaakov Bender and a series on Kaddish and learning mishnayos for a parent. Boys can call in whenever they need support.

Quarterly Events

In Shlomie’s Club, something is happening at every time of year. Boys can connect with mentors and peers in a fun setting at our fall melaveh malkah, winter snow tubing trip, pre-Purim carnival and spring trip.

Magazine for Bachurim

This magazine is published quarterly. Our first issue was published for Pesach 5780. It is geared to teenagers, addressing topics relevant to our older boys and containing letters of chizuk especially for them.

Guitar Group

This year, a group of boys had twelve lessons in our Brooklyn office. We are looking forward to a new group annually.

Shabbaton for Bachurim

One of our most recent initiatives, the Shabbaton gives boys a great experience as well as an opportunity to speak and share openly without distraction or judgement of any kind.

Therapy Referrals

If therapy is desired, we work to connect our boys with a therapist who will be the best fit for him, diligently researching and interviewing each professional before making the recommendation. If it’s not a perfect match, we’ll try again until it is.

Erev Shabbos Brachos

Every week, Rabbi Paysach Krohn records a two-minute message of chizuk along with an Erev Shabbos bracha, which our boys receive by phone every Friday.

Therapy Funding

We partner with other organizations to cover the cost of therapy for our boys. If approved, a large portion of the cost is underwritten.

Bar Mitzvah Gifts

Shlomie’s Club is a family, and we love sharing in our boys’ simchos. Each Club member receives a gift in honor of this special day.

Camp Packages

Boys of all ages who attend sleepaway camp receive a care package with a personal note for each half of the summer they’re away.

Library

Located in Brooklyn, our library welcomes children & teens to a safe space where they can read, take out books, play games and work on craft projects together.

Your support gives a child continuity, care and connection.
