Links Girls’ Division

It’s a Girl Thing.

Parental loss affects every aspect of a girl’s life. That’s why Links Girls’ Division is there to support her in every way possible, at all times.

For girls in ninth grade through age twenty-three, Links Girls’ Division provides:

Links Magazine

Five times a year, girls receive a sixty-four page magazine where they can find support, answers to their questions, and a sense of community. Published under the auspices of Yeled V’Yalda, Links Magazine is mailed free-of-charge to hundreds of girls across America, Canada, Israel, Europe and Australia.

LinksLine Hotline

Whenever and wherever they need support, girls can call our twenty-four hour hotline to hear words of chizuk from guest speakers, tips for emunah and tefillah, personal stories, self-care, Q&A and much more. The content is updated weekly, so there’s always something new to listen to.

Quarterly Events

From nights out in cafes to snow tubing to art night, these events are a great way for our girls to connect with each other. Events take place in New York, New Jersey, Baltimore and London, and will soon run in Chicago and Los Angeles as well.

Annual Shabbaton

The highlight of the year for many of our girls, this seventy-two hour event is attended by Links girls from around the world and is a tremendous source of chizuk for many.

Shop-a-thons

Every four to six months, our Brooklyn event gives girls the chance to pick out brand new, in-season clothing at only $5 an item.

Therapy Referrals

If therapy is desired, we work to connect our girls with a therapist who will be the best fit for her, researching and interviewing each professional before making the recommendation. If it’s not a perfect match, we’ll try again until it is.

Therapy Funding

We partner with other organizations to cover therapy for our girls. If approved, a large portion of the cost is underwritten.

Erev Shabbos Brachos

Every week, Rabbi Paysach Krohn records a two-minute message of chizuk along with an Erev Shabbos bracha, which our girls receive by phone every Friday.

Shabbos Mevorchim Teleconference

Rabbi Nosson Muller hosts a monthly live teleconference, usually on the Thursday before Shabbos Mevorchim. These ten-minute sessions are full of chizuk and ways to keep girls grounded from month to month, and can be enjoyed live or as recordings.

Shidduch Services

In partnership with another organization, we arrange meet-the-shadchan evenings exclusively for our girls. Many of the shadchanim are available to coach girls throughout the entire process. Several shidduchim have been successfully made through this process.

Kallah Shopping

When one of our girls becomes a kallah, we’re thrilled to help her navigate this exciting time in her life. Links members in the New York/New Jersey area can enjoy a day out with a personal shopper who will help them shop and pay for clothing. We’re also available to assist kallos with setting up their apartments, and with applying to various organizations for funding as needed.

Library

Located in Brooklyn, our library welcomes children & teens to a safe space where they can read, take out books, play games and work on craft projects together.

Your support gives a child continuity, care and connection.

“I want to thank you ever so much for getting funds for my daughter to attend camp. She is literally having a blast! I can’t thank you enough for your kindness. She is so happy!”
